This is an opportune time to reflect on the reasons why we chose a particular place to call home - whether it was the peaceful neighborhood, the unique architecture, or the sense of community that attracted us. Each and every house carries its own tale that deserves to be cherished - after all, there is good in all houses.

The present, and future, informed by the past

Nationally, a potential upswing in home sales is anticipated by many as we approach 2024, drawing from the historical link between the rise in mortgage applications and the subsequent surge in home sales. This projection heavily relies on the maintenance of current mortgage interest rates or a potential slight decrease as we transition into the new year.

Meanwhile, sales on the Monterey Peninsula have experienced a minor deceleration, although housing prices remain strong. This month is trending towards a lower sales volume, attributed partly to seasonal trends and exacerbated by the peak in mortgage interest rates observed in late October and early November. A more detailed and comprehensive update on the local market will be provided in the forthcoming weeks.
