How to get a tee time at Pebble Beach Golf Links

Pebble Beach Golf Links is a public course, but getting on it comes down to one choice: stay at the resort and book far ahead, or try your luck the day before. Here’s how each path works, using the resort’s own published rules.

The short version: Resort guests of The Lodge, The Inn at Spanish Bay, or Casa Palmero can book Pebble Beach Golf Links up to 18 months out (12 months at Casa Palmero), with a minimum stay. Everyone else can book only 1 day (24 hours) ahead. The published green fee for April 1, 2026 to March 31, 2027 is $695; non-resort guests also pay a $60 cart fee. Call resort reservations at (800) 877-0597.

How booking works

Two ways to get a Pebble Beach tee time

Pebble Beach Resorts says the course is open to the public. What changes is how far ahead you can lock in a time.

Path 1 · most reliable

Stay at the resort and book with your room

Guests of The Lodge at Pebble Beach and The Inn at Spanish Bay can book rooms up to 18 months in advance; Casa Palmero up to 12 months. The resort encourages hotel guests to request tee times when they book the room.

A minimum stay is required to play Pebble Beach Golf Links. The resort’s availability calendar currently says a 2-night minimum secures a round, and marks some dates with a 3-night minimum. Up to 2 players can be booked per room, based on occupancy.

Weekend stays also carry a minimum. Ask about it when you book.

  • Up to 18 months out
  • Minimum stay
  • 2 golfers per room
Path 2 · a gamble

Book 1 day ahead as a non-resort guest

Non-resort guests can book Pebble Beach Golf Links only 1 day (24 hours) in advance, subject to availability. A credit card is required to guarantee the time.

This works best if you already live here or are in town with a flexible schedule. If you’re flying in just to play, the resort path is the safer bet.

  • Card to guarantee

Know before you play

Dress code, caddies, carts and cancellations

A few resort rules trip people up, especially first-timers.

Cancellations

Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill, and The Links at Spanish Bay can be cancelled up to 14 days before play without fees. Del Monte and The Hay allow 3 days.

Dress code

A golf shirt and equivalent outerwear. Shorts and pants are fine, but not denim, cargo, or sweats.

Caddie or cart

The resort suggests a caddie at Pebble Beach. If you take a cart at Pebble Beach or Spyglass Hill, it stays on the path.

Weather

Mornings can be foggy and afternoons warmer. Highs run about 58–70°F year-round, so dress in layers. April through November is the busiest season.

From the buyer’s side

Why golfers end up buying here

For a lot of my buyers, the tee time is the first trip and the house comes later. Living on the Peninsula turns the 24-hour window from a gamble into a standing option: when you’re 10 minutes away, you can check for a time the day before without planning a whole trip around it.

If you’re weighing a home near the links, I can walk you through the Pebble Beach neighborhoods and what’s selling now.

Golf trip now, home later?

Tell me how often you’d play and how you’d use the house, and I’ll map out where on the Peninsula fits.

Before you rely on this

  • Confirm rates, minimum stays, and availability with Pebble Beach Resorts when you book. The resort says rates can change.
  • The 24-hour non-guest window is subject to availability; there’s no guarantee of a time.
  • Personal coolers and outside alcohol aren’t allowed on the course.
  • This page is a local guide, not a booking service. Book directly with Pebble Beach Resorts.
